Mike and Myra Jones
Owners of a 1950 MG TD, 1970 MGB-GT, and a 2000 Jaguar S-type

The 1950 MG TD is Mike's "never-sell" car, since it's the first car he ever owned.

Mike bought the 1970 GT new, back when he and Myra were driving MGs every day. He kept the GT for more than 20 years, then sold it to Dan and Cora Lee Nichols, another couple in the club. The Nichols moved to Colorado, then Minnesota with the GT, before ending up in Florida.

In 2005, former club member Rick Brown came across Dan and the GT at an MG club breakfast in Brooksville, Fla. He found out that Dan was looking to selling the car, so Rick got in touch with Mike in case he wanted to buy the car back.

Mike had always regretted selling it, so in October 2005, he flew down to Florida to pick it up, bringing it back home most of the way on Amtrak's Autotrain.

Note the split rear bumper on the GT, a design that was featured only on 1970 MGBs and MGB-GTs.
