Bill and Gini Miers Bill got started with MGs in the 1990s, with a 1977 MGB. It didn't take him long, though, to realize he would enjoy the power and handling of an earlier chrome-bumper B even better. He found the 1974 Citron B on a VW used car lot, and learned that the owner had rehabbed the car himself, then traded it in on a Corvette. The 1974 B has provided Bill and Gini with lots of enjoyment, but has required various rebuilds over the years, including brakes, starter, alternator, radiator, front-end rebuild and the installation of an overdrive transmission. In 2001, it was time for some bodywork, since Bill could see the roadway through the floor and there was evidence of deterioration in the rocker panels and seills. In May 2002, Bill and Gini took part in their first Vintage Rally, joining in a five-day, 1,500-mile classic car trip from Maine to Nova Scotia and back.
