Chuck Jackson
Owner of a 1960 MGA Roadster
Chuck has owned the car since January 2003. He bought it as a
replacement for the red 1960 MGA he sold back in 1969 when he left
Hawaii after recovering from wounds at Tripler Army Medical Center.
He got his new A on eBay, based on photos from the on-frame restoration
done in 1997, 6,000 miles earlier. He had to add a complete
emergency brake system to get it inspected, and has also replaced the
starter, installed the heater controls, replaced the tach cable, rebuilt
the clutch cylinder, replaced the brake and clutch hoses, overhauled the
carburetors, rebuilt the front suspension, replaced the wiring harness,
added Windtone horns, replaced the MGB fuel gauge with the proper MGA
gauge, and replaced the timing belt. He is enjoying the car thoroughly.
