Club Picnic Meeting • Sept. 25, 2004
Louise Moore Park, Easton, Pa.

The Keystone Region MG Club gathered on a fine early autumn day for a picnic meeting at this lovely Northampton County park. The event was hosted by Ron and Bonnie Cooke and their sons Anthony and Willy, who greeted club members and helped park the cars.

The Cookes had originally planned the September picnic to be held at Bushkill Park the previous weekend, but that historic family amusement park got flooded out in the torrential rains of Hurricane Ivan.

Ron and Bonnie regrouped, with the help of Dick Horn, to book a picnic pavilion at Louise Moore Park the following weekend. They served up a vast assortment of goodies to go with hot dogs on the grill -- everything from cheese and cracker hors d'ouevres to after-dinner mints, and including a cake decorated with a photo of their MGB in icing.

We also had perfect, top-down weather, which attracted 25 members and guests arriving in one MG TD, two MGAs, eight MGBs, and a Jaguar XKE.
