Club picnic and Big Pocono Hillclimb
Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005
Home of Dennis and Diane Silance, McMichaels, Pa.

Dennis and Diane Silance hosted the club on Aug. 21 at their home in McMichaels. The Silances’ front yard was packed with MGs and other British cars while we relaxed in the wooded backyard. Lots of fun and good conversation, including a look at Dennis’ latest restoration project, a 1970 TR6.

After we ate and had a brief meeting, the club headed up the road to climb Big Pocono (Camelback Mountain). Those who made it to the top were rewarded with a spectacular view, plus some very valuable prizes.

Hi and Helen Budd did not quite get all the way up to the summit in their 1952 MG TD, but still earned a very classy Pocono Mountain souvenir spoon rest for their attempt.
