Princeton Auto Show
Sunday, May 15, 2005
Princeton, N.J.

The club received a special invitation to attend the Princeton Auto Show, an annual fundraising event sponsored by the Princeton Corridor Rotary Club.

Eight members in five MGBs made the trip to the show, and it was fun to show our little British cars alongside classic cars of all makes and models. This was a large event, staged in the parking lot of a very nice office park with grass strips and trees, and there were plenty of cars to look at.

Bill Webb chose an excellent route to the show and led the caravan, followed by Gini and Bill Miers, Dick Horn, Ed and Angie Haas, and Charles and Kim de Bourbon.

The weather was a little threatening in the afternoon, so the group took off before the awards were presented.  Ed and Kim were both surprised to receive large third-place trophies in the mail, although we have no idea what the class was!

01 - Bill Webb led the backroads caravan to Princeton
02 - We joined a nice selection of MGBs at the show
03 - Bill Miers, Angie & Ed Haas, Dick Horn
04 - Gini & Bill Miers and their 1974 MGB
05 - We had a nice corner of what was a large show
06 - Judges talk Dick Horn into raising his bonnet
07 - A nice flashy (and loud) Cobra parked nearby
08 - A whole pack of Plymouth Prowlers was there
