Club cookout
Import/Kit-Replicar Nationals
Carlisle, Pa.
Saturday, May 21, 2005

Once again, the club hosted a cook-out under a tent on the British car field at Carlisle.  This annual event always draws lots of British car owners, and we were pleased to be able to share some hospitality as well as distribute membership applications and fliers for the Hellertown show.  We shared the tent with Dave Deutsch and Richard Liddick of the North American MGB Register, who also distributed information to MGB owners walking by.  (We shared NAMGBR's tent last year, so this year they shared ours!)

Bill Page outdid himself bringing grills and provisions down to Carlisle in his motorhome, which he camped at Carlisle for the weekend. Charles de Bourbon brought banners, flags and tables for the event. Hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken were on the menu.

Friday's weather was what has come to be expected at Carlisle: wet, cold, windy and miserable.  But Saturday brightened up considerably, and was a downright pleasant day for our cookout.
